FiF Innovations, LLC operates Givingring (givingring.org). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our platform.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly (name, email address, profile photo, bio, Quality of Life scores, payment activity), information generated by your use of the platform (posts, comments, likes, friend connections, campaign contributions), and technical information (IP address, browser type, device identifiers, log data). We do not process or store payment card numbers — all peer-to-peer payments occur off-platform through third-party apps (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle, etc.).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate and improve Givingring, calculate your Quality of Life and Generosity scores, facilitate friend connections and peer-to-peer payment tracking, send notifications about activity on your account, respond to your support requests, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Profile Visibility and Privacy Controls

By default, your profile is set to Private — only you can view your full profile details. You may change your visibility to Friends Only (accepted friends can view your profile) or Public (anyone can view your profile) at any time in your profile settings. Regardless of your visibility setting, your name and username remain searchable so other users can send you friend requests.

4. Payment Data and Generosity Scores

Givingring tracks peer-to-peer payment records for the purpose of calculating Generosity Scores. Payment records are created by the sender and must be confirmed by the recipient before any score updates occur. This two-sided confirmation model is designed to prevent fraud. We store the amount, payment method, optional note, and confirmation status. We do not have access to your accounts on third-party payment apps.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who assist us in operating the platform (hosting, analytics, email delivery), when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FiF Innovations, our users, or the public. If FiF Innovations is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for financial record-keeping purposes.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may update your profile information at any time through your account settings. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the address below. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (such as CCPA or GDPR).

9. Children's Privacy

Givingring is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of Givingring after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
